A FORMER boxer gunned down on his doorstep is a fraudster caught up in a war over cut-price Coca Cola.
Tanweer Nazie – who was shot seven times in the legs at his £600,000 home – is banned from being a company director until for 2017 for using bogus records to obtain credit.
Government accountants found he falsified accounts and lied about his business record to run up debts totalling more than £350,000 in just five months.
But detectives probing the shooting believe the attack could be connected to his lucrative trade in legally imported Coca Cola from mainland Europe.
They suspect the trade sparked a feud between rival businessmen in Glasgow
One source said: “Tanweer was importing Coke by the lorryload to Scotland and had been doing so for the last four or five years.
In 1992, Azeem, 35, and Ali walked free from the High Court for beating a man to death with hockey sticks.
