A flight from the Dominican Republic was quarantined for 90 minutes after landing at Glasgow Airport.
A total of 27 holidaymakers on the MyTravel service complained of sickness and diarrhoea.
The plane, which landed at 0500 BST, was met by doctors and consultants from Health Protection Scotland. Passengers were let away at 0630 BST after checks.
Sick passengers were diagnosed with the Norovirus or so-called winter vomiting. No-one needed medical treatment.
A number of the passengers had been at the same hotel where dozens of UK holiday-makers fell ill during their stay.
